As one of Memorial Sloan-Kettering’s leading corporate donors, Stop & Shop has raised more than $11 million since 2001 for the Department of Pediatrics, and the supermarket has committed to raising an additional $1.5 million for pediatric oncology in 2012. For the 12th consecutive year, Stop & Shop customers have an opportunity to support Memorial Sloan-Kettering by taking part in the supermarket’s Triple Winner game.
From April 13 through July 12, shoppers who donate $1 to Memorial Sloan-Kettering at a Stop & Shop checkout will receive a scratch-off ticket, giving them the chance to instantly win prizes including gift cards, free products, coupons, and cash giveaways of up to $10,000. One hundred percent of funds raised in the New York Metro area will benefit Memorial Sloan-Kettering’s pediatric cancer care and research programs.
“Stop & Shop’s support is unique and extraordinarily important to us because it provides funding that allows us to pursue innovative, novel, groundbreaking research for which there is no other source of support,” says Paul Meyers, Vice Chair of Academic Affairs in the Department of Pediatrics. “This year we’re striving to reach a very big goal, and every dollar will make a difference for a child.”
