Five distinguished Memorial Sloan-Kettering nurses and one unit assistant were recognized for exemplary service at this year’s Samuel and May Rudin Awards ceremony, held during National Nurses Week on Wednesday, May 8. An annual event, the Samuel and May Rudin Awards are sponsored by the Rudin Family Foundation and honor excellence in nursing practice, leadership, education, and patient care.
This year’s winners work in various areas of the hospital including Surgery, Urgent Care, Intensive Care, the Adult Blood & Marrow Stem Cell Transplantation Service, and the Male Sexual & Reproductive Medicine Program. The award winners were nominated by fellow nurses, administrators, physicians, and patients.
