Acoustic Neuroma: Survivorship & Support

Even though acoustic neuroma is almost always a benign condition, coping with surgery and radiation can be stressful for those undergoing treatment. To help patients manage issues that may arise, Memorial Sloan Kettering offers a wide range of programs, including:

  • Integrative Medicine Service

Our Integrative Medicine Service enhances the quality of life of patients treated for acoustic neuromas by providing healing regimens that address the body, mind, and spirit. We offer a wide range of therapies that complement medical treatment, including various types of massage, acupuncture, hypnotherapy, meditation, visualization and other mind-body therapies, music therapy, and nutritional counseling, as well as classes in yoga, t'ai chi, and chair aerobics.

  • Memorial Sloan Kettering Counseling Center

Our Counseling Center offers individual and family counseling sessions to help patients and their families address any problems they may encounter during and after treatment.
