I am a board-certified diagnostic radiologist with special expertise in the care of patients with bone tumors and soft-tissue sarcomas. As an integral member of the Bone Tumor Disease Management Team, I collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, medical oncologists, and pathologists to optimize the accurate diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients with these rare and often difficult-to-treat tumors.
My research interests cover a wide range of topics in oncologic imaging, often evaluating the effectiveness of various imaging techniques used in the diagnosis and care of patients with cancer. I am currently studying MR imaging and CT scanning of bone and soft-tissue tumors. I was the lead investigator on the National Cancer Institute/National Institutes of Health multi-institutional project which compared CT and MR imaging for the staging of musculoskeletal cancers.
