John Lyo, MD

I am a radiologist specialized in the imaging of the brain, neck, and spine using computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

My research interests include research in the use of advanced MRI techniques such as functional MRI and diffusion tensor imaging, which are useful in pre-surgical planning by identifying areas of the brain that are important in function (such as producing language or movement), or in conducting those functions to the rest of the body (via neuronal tracts).

I also participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and am involved with the education of neuroradiology fellows. I work closely with the fellowship program director to help improve the fellowship experience.
