Consultations are available with a neuro-oncologist at our Basking Ridge, New Jersey, and Commack, Long Island, locations. Our suburban outpatient treatment centers also provide advanced chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
When you call us for an appointment, please let us know if you would prefer to be seen at one of Memorial Sloan Kettering’s suburban outpatient cancer centers.
What to Expect When You Call
When you call, we will ask you about your medical history to help us select the most appropriate course of action. If appropriate, an appointment will be set up at the time of your call.
Before your appointment takes place, we suggest that you send your medical records, MRI results, and other test results for our review.
Following your appointment, our experts in neurology, neurosurgery, radiology, and radiation oncology will discuss your case, and work together to recommend the best treatment approach for you. Within a day or two of your appointment, either you or your caregiver will receive a report by phone, followed by a written report.
For Patients outside the New York Area: Arranging a Records Review
By arranging a records review, you may be able to benefit from Memorial Sloan Kettering's expertise without having to travel to New York City. When you call, we will discuss the best way to get our opinion on your care.
During a records review, our doctors will recommend what we consider to be the best treatment strategy for your condition. For some patients, the best approach may be to receive treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering. For others, we may suggest that you receive treatment elsewhere. In either case, you can be assured that our recommendation will reflect the latest approaches to brain tumor care as well as your personal circumstances.
