As a board-certified internist and pulmonologist, my clinical practice is dedicated to the prevention and early detection of breast cancer. I am director of Memorial Sloan-Kettering’s Special Surveillance Breast Program, and see many women who are at increased risk for breast cancer including those who have a family history of breast cancer or a genetic predisposition to the disease (BRCA-1, 2 mutation carriers), and whose breast biopsies show atypical cells. My practice focuses on breast cancer screening, strategies for risk reduction, and general women’s health issues. I hope to improve the overall well being of my patients by helping to reduce their anxiety about this disease.
