I am a board certified radiologist specializing in breast and body imaging. I joined the faculty of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 2001 after completing a diagnostic radiology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and a then a fellowship in breast and body imaging at Memorial Sloan Kettering.

My clinical work involves all modalities of screening and diagnostic breast imaging, including mammography, ultrasound and breast MRI. I perform all types of breast interventional procedures including stereotactic, ultrasound-guided and MRI-guided biopsies and radioactive seed and wire localizations. I also interpret body CT scans and plain radiographs as part of my clinical work. I am involved in training Weill Cornell medical residents and breast fellows, as well as the many observers who visit our breast imaging section. I teach them how to interpret images, perform biopsies and guide them on how to interact with patients in a thoughtful and caring manner. I enjoy working closely with the entire breast service team and consulting with my colleagues, surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, and pathologists to help facilitate high-quality compassionate patient care.

I am involved in collaborative research in the breast section with my colleagues in radiology, surgery, pathology, and medical physics. My recent research has included papers on hormonal influences on background parenchymal enhancement on breast MRI and the need for excision of mucin-containing lesions on percutaneous core needle biopsies.
