I am a medical oncologist with particular expertise in the treatment of breast cancer and gynecologic malignancies. I practice at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center Sleepy Hollow, and I am a member of the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Gynecology Disease Management Team. I also participate in didactic breast cancer medical and surgical management conferences with members of the breast cancer service.
As both a clinician and an academic oncologist, I have used state-of-the-art care to treat patients, lectured extensively in the local community, and facilitated the entry of patients into clinical trials. My work has been recognized by the American Medical Women’s Association, which named me a “Local Legend” from New York, and by Congresswoman Nita Lowey, who nominated me for the honor. The award is bestowed on women physicians who have demonstrated commitment, originality, innovation, and creativity, and have made important contributions to their communities in their respective fields of medicine.
I have derived great satisfaction from the relationships I’ve developed with my patients over the years. Caring for cancer patients is an experience I find to be uniquely rewarding. It has been gratifying to expand the cancer services available to patients in the Westchester area by providing them with the latest advances in treatment, improved access to clinical trials, and general outreach to the community.
