I am a board-certified radiologist with sub-specialty expertise in body imaging, and I serve as Director of Body MRI at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. I specialize in using modern imaging approaches to provide timely and accurate information on patients’ diagnoses and staging, as an aid to treatment planning, and to assess the effects of therapy. I am an active member of the Genitourinary Cancer Disease Management Team, and provide imaging guidance and support to my colleagues as they decide on treatment strategies for patients. As Director of Body MRI, I oversee our MRI operations to meet the needs of our patients.
My research interests have been focused on the use of MRI in oncological imaging with special interest on genitourinary cancers. In collaboration with my colleagues, I have published research studies on the use of MRI methods including dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI, and diffusion-weighted MRI. I plan to further investigate the best uses of these newer MRI methods as they provide anatomical as well as functional information about tumors. I hope to further develop imaging techniques to improve the lives of patients as advanced imaging could be especially useful in predicting and monitoring treatment response for new cancer therapies.
