As an interventional radiologist, I use various types of imaging (such as CT, ultrasound, and MRI) to guide treatment instruments such as needles, probes, catheters, or stents inside the body so that large incisions are not necessary. The procedures I perform include ablation, in which extreme heat or cold is applied to a tumor, and embolization, which blocks the blood flow to a tumor or an organ. I also have special expertise in biliary intervention and intravenous access.
