As a board-certified gynecologic oncologist, I perform surgery to remove cancers of the female reproductive tract including ovarian, uterine, cervical, and vulvar cancers.

I use minimally invasive surgery such as laparoscopy and robotic techniques using the da Vinci Surgical System. I was one of the first gynecologic cancer surgeons trained on the da Vinci system, and I perform approximately half of my surgical cases today with this approach. The da Vinci robotic technique is most often used to treat uterine, cervical, and small ovarian cancers, and provides for a faster post-operative recovery. Among the procedures performed on the da Vinci include hysterectomy (removal of the uterus), trachelectomy (removal of the cervix), oophorectomy (removal of the ovaries), and/or lymph node harvesting.
