Yelena Y. Janjigian, MD

I am a medical oncologist who specializes in the treatment of malignancies of the gastrointestinal tract, including esophageal, stomach, colorectal, and pancreatic cancers. My research focuses on the development of new treatments for patients with esophageal and gastric cancers, and I am particularly interested in finding ways to select the best treatments for persons with cancer based on the molecular characteristics of their tumor specimens. My work was recently recognized with a Young Investigator Award from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
