In clinical trials, medical experts and researchers evaluate the safety and effectiveness of new therapies and diagnostic tools. Through our research programs and those of the Gynecologic Oncology Group — a multi-institutional clinical research group supported by the National Cancer Institute — we are looking for novel agents and new ways to improve the survival rate and quality of life for women with uterine sarcoma and other gynecologic cancers.
We also continue to advance the field in the management of all types of uterine sarcomas through participation and leadership in such initiatives as the US-UK-EORTC International Rare Cancer Initiative and the National Clinical Trials Network (NCTN).
Our clinical research team is highly experienced in selecting patients most likely to benefit from a particular investigational therapy and guiding them through the steps involved in participating.
