Counseling & Support: Support Programs

If you are receiving treatment for cancer, you may be seeking information or therapies that can support you during this process. Because everyone’s needs are different, Memorial Sloan-Kettering has developed a range of programs to help our patients at any point in their journey.

Through the efforts of our staff and volunteers, we offer complementary therapies such as yoga and massage; makeup and hair styling through our Look Good…Feel Better program; and information about nutrition and healthy eating. We also have a smoking cessation program designed to support you in quitting smoking.

In addition, former Memorial Sloan-Kettering patients are available if you wish to talk with someone who has gone through a similar experience. If you prefer to use creative expression as your outlet, you can participate in our writing program or art therapy classes. For inpatients seeking animal companionship, we also offer canine therapy with specially trained dogs.
