Cyrus V. Hedvat, MD, PhD
Acting Chief, Molecular Diagnostics Service; Director, Diagnostic Molecular Pathology Laboratory
I am a surgical pathologist who specializes in hematopathology. I work both as a scientist in the laboratory and as a diagnostic pathologist in the hospital, where I review patient cases. My work in the laboratory involves the study of tumors of the bone marrow and lymph nodes. The goal of these studies is to identify molecules that can be used for improved diagnosis and treatment of cancer by employing a variety of modern techniques, including gene microarrays and tissue arrays.
