One of the most robust projects our team has supported is the evolution of our electronic medical records. Memorial Sloan-Kettering started the migration to electronic records in the 1990s and is continually making refinements to the system to make it more efficient. Another project that I am particularly proud of is our data warehouse, which we created to make
clinical research easier and again, more efficient. From an IT perspective, it is one of our most distinguished features.
I am also involved in the Quality of Care Initiative, which works to improve patient care; I serve as the chair of the Informatics Committee.
Along with this work in IT, I enjoy seeing patients at our 53rd Street facility once a week, conducting pre-operative evaluations for
cancer surgery.
