As an academic hospitalist on the General Internal Medicine Service I have chosen to focus on the care of patients admitted to the hospital. I have the same training and board-certification as other internal medicine doctors, but offer specialized and coordinated care solely within the walls of our institution. This approach helps ensure efficiency and patient safety, and introduces streamlined care into the system.
My daily role involves teaching residents, interns, and medical students about providing outstanding care to patients admitted to Memorial Sloan-Kettering's General Medicine and Gastrointestinal Oncology Services. I am particularly interested in incorporating evidence-based medicine to individual patient care and clinical decision making.
