Clinically, I specialize in two areas: 1) morphology-based diagnosis of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary diseases, and 2) molecular characterization of all types of cancer. In my day-to-day work, I collaborate with surgeons and oncologists to establish optimal diagnoses and management plans tailored to individual patients.
My research interest is, broadly, the molecular characterization of gastrointestinal tumors. My current and past work focuses on the prognostic, predictive, microscopic, molecular, and physiologic trends of molecular alterations in gastrointestinal malignancies, with special focus on actionable alterations. I am also interested in novel mechanisms of primary and secondary resistance to targeted therapies.
