During my residency at the University of Kiel, in Germany, I initiated the institutional Molecular Imaging Program. I later received funding from the German Research Foundation to pursue postdoctoral work at the Center for Molecular Imaging Research (CMIR) at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. After two years of postdoctoral work at CMIR, I was invited to join their faculty in 2004 as an instructor and co-director of the imaging facility. In a desire to re-introduce clinical practice into my career, I joined Memorial Sloan-Kettering in 2006 to obtain additional training while continuing research in molecular maging. In 2009, I joined the faculty of both the Sloan Kettering Institute (Assistant Member in the Molecular Pharmacology and Chemistry Program) and Memorial Hospital (Assistant Attending in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine). See the link below for my lab.
I am a member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine, American Association for Cancer Research, Radiological Society of North America, the Society for Molecular Imaging, and the German X-Ray Society and a corresponding member of the European Society for Radiology.
I am associate editor of the journal Molecular Imaging.
