Jeanne Carter, PhD

I am a clinical psychologist and certified sexual health therapist who provides individual interventions to women with cancer. I currently serve as the Head of the Female Sexual Medicine and Women’s Health programs and care for patients at Memorial Sloan-Kettering’s Barbara White Fishman Women’s Health Center. I am a member of the attending staff of the Gynecology Service in the Department of Surgery and of the Department of Psychiatry.

My research interests have included sexual health, cancer-related infertility, and patients’ quality of life following surgery. I serve on the quality of life committee of the Gynecologic Oncology Group and am also a member of the other scientific and medical societies including American Psychological Association; American Association of Sex Counselors, Educators and Therapists (AASECT); and International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH).
