John J. Fiore, MD

I am an active member of Memorial Sloan-Kettering’s thoracic tumor board, where a multidisciplinary team reviews difficult cases and discusses the best ways to manage the care of these patients. I also participate in many of the Center’s clinical trials and some national trials of the latest treatments for lung cancer. I can readily refer patients to my colleagues at Memorial Sloan-Kettering’s main campus for any treatments not available at Commack.

I am interested in palliative care of cancer patients and serve on the Center’s Palliative Care Committee. I work closely with the nursing staff, social workers, and other physicians at Commack to achieve optimal symptom control and communication with patients and families throughout the course of their illnesses.
