I am active in teaching and direct the pediatric neurology residency training program at Weill Cornell Medical College. I have received awards for my teaching, including one from the American Academy of Neurology in 2008. One week every summer, I volunteer my time to work as a medical director for Camp New Friends, a summer camp for children with neurofibromatosis.
I enjoy working with children and their families and being able to provide them with care, education, and support. Understanding the biology of neurological diseases is an intellectual challenge, and I like working as part of a multidisciplinary team to make important treatment decisions. There are few places with a team of professionals who are as skilled and caring as the team at Memorial Sloan-Kettering.
