I am a board-certified radiation oncologist and specialize in caring for patients with prostate, breast, gastrointestinal, and gynecological cancers, and brain tumors. I have a particular interest in the use of intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), both forms of focused radiation that improve patient outcomes and reduce toxicity to normal tissue. I also use high-dose-rate brachytherapy (radiation delivered by a radioactive source placed directly in the tumor site) to treat patients with gynecological tumors who would benefit from this approach.
I am part of a multidisciplinary team of medical oncologists, medical physicists, surgeons, and radiologists who provide state-of-the-art, compassionate care to patients with these diseases. I see patients at Memorial Sloan-Kettering’s regional facility in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, so that they can receive care equal to that available at Memorial Sloan-Kettering in New York while staying close to home.
I am interested in enrolling patients in clinical trials open at the Basking Ridge site to help find new and novel approaches in treating cancer. I can also facilitate patients’ entry into trials that are available only at the Center’s main campus in Manhattan, if appropriate.
