I am a radiologist who specializes in body imaging, with a particular expertise in hepatopancretobiliary tumors. My clinical work focuses on CT and MRI of the chest, abdomen. and pelvis. As the radiology co-chair of the Hepatopancreatobiliary Disease Management Team, I guide the radiologic interpretation of tumors of the liver, pancreas, and bile ducts in collaboration with our gastroenterologists, medical oncologists, and surgical oncologists.
My research interests are centered on evaluating treatment response through the use of novel magnetic resonance (MR)-based imaging techniques, including diffusion-weighted imaging and perfusion imaging. These imaging techniques can show how tumors respond during specific types of treatment such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy, thus providing valuable additional feedback to oncologists.
As the MRI safety officer, I also lead a team of physicians, nurses, supervisors and radiology technologists to ensure that safe practices for magnetic resonance are adopted. Our goal is the complete safety of patients and staff members who are in the MR environment.
