I am a general endocrinologist who also has a special interest in thyroid cancer, both clinically and experimentally. My professional time is divided between treating patients with endocrine disorders — particularly thyroid cancer — and working in the laboratory with my mentor, Dr. James Fagin, on understanding the pathophysiology of thyroid cancer. In particular, my research is focused on understanding the role of the immune system in thyroid cancer progression.
