Marco L. Davila, MD, PhD

I am a board-certified medical oncologist who specializes in the treatment of patients with leukemia. I have a particular interest in lymphoid malignancies such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and B cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL).

As a translational physician- scientist, I am engaged in both clinical and laboratory research involving these lymphoid malignancies. In the laboratory of Michel Sadelain, I am developing engineered cell therapies that target cancer cells in animal models of lymphoid malignancies. The goal of our laboratory research is to identify optimal cell therapies that can then be evaluated in patients with CLL or ALL. I am currently involved in two such clinical protocols using T cells genetically targeted against malignant B cells. Our innovative laboratory and clinical research will hopefully lead to new therapeutic options for patients with lymphoid malignancies.
