I am a medical oncologist specializing in the treatment of people with lung cancer and other types of cancer that may respond to immunotherapies. I am a member of the Thoracic Oncology Service and the Immunotherapeutics Core. I have been taking care of patients with cancer since joining Memorial Sloan Kettering in 2002. My area of research is developing immunotherapy agents to harness the immune system to fight against cancer.
Before Memorial Sloan Kettering and my joint appointment at Weill Cornell Medical College, I was an attending physician at Lombardi Cancer Center at Georgetown University. My oncology training was conducted at Beth Israel Hospital/Harvard Medical School. I received my medical degree and completed my residency at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada.
