Noah D. Kauff, MD, FACOG -- Director, Ovarian Cancer Screening and Prevention, Gynecology Service, Department of Surgery

I am a gynecologist and geneticist who specializes in the care of patients who may have an inherited predisposition to cancer. I evaluate and treat all hereditary cancer syndromes, including those that cause an increased risk of breast, ovarian, colon, uterine, thyroid, and other cancers. My clinical areas of expertise include cancer risk counseling, screening for and prevention of inherited cancers, and providing gynecologic care to cancer patients.

My research interests include: The effect of genetic counseling on the evaluation and treatment of women with an inherited predisposition to cancer; the effect of risk-reducing surgery for the prevention of breast and ovarian cancer in women with inherited predisposition to these cancers; and the identification of both genetic and environmental markers that may allow risk-reduction strategies to be tailored to individual patients at increased risk for cancer.
