I am a board-certified clinical neuroradiologist whose primary clinical interest is in pediatric brain tumor imaging. I am a member of the Brain Tumor Center. My daily responsibilities involve reading magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and computed tomography (CT) scans of both adult and pediatric cancer patients to identify progression of disease, response to therapy, and the presence of many common cancers. In addition, I perform diagnostic procedures such as myelograms and lumbar punctures, which help surgeons and medical oncologists in managing the care of patients with metastatic breast cancer, primary brain tumors, leukemia, and lymphoma. I oversee the training and education of fellows in both neuroradiology and body imaging.
I also direct clinical research studies of the brain and neck. I am the investigating radiologist for general research studies to gauge the effectiveness of a combined chemotherapy regimen for metastatic breast cancer and thyroid cancer, and novel convection-delivered antibody therapy for certain pediatric brain tumors, such as pontine gliomas.
