I am a radiation oncologist whose practice is dedicated to the care of patients with prostate cancer. Specifically, my clinical and research focus is the upfront treatment of the most serious, high-risk patients. While the majority of today’s prostate cancer research concerns the treatment of metastatic prostate cancer, my research focus lies at the very beginning of therapeutic intervention. I believe that by improving the upfront treatment for localized, high-risk prostate cancer we can prevent the development of castration-resistant disease in many patients altogether. For my research, I have been awarded the Prostate Cancer Foundation Creativity Award (2011), ASCO Young Investigator Award (2011), and the Charles A. Dana Fellowship (2011).
