Janet Ware of Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Integrative Medicine Service uses an ancient Chinese practice called Qi Gong to help patients recover from an illness or treatment. Qi Gong combines slow movements, breathing exercises, and visualization to calm the mind and focus the body’s energy on healing. Ware demonstrates some of the techniques that are used to help concentrate the body’s energy in different parts of the body.
