A limited number of private hospital rooms and suites are available for patients with special needs. One hospital floor, in particular, has private suites. However, depending on your medical condition, your physician may recommend that you stay elsewhere in the hospital. If you choose a private room or suite, you will be asked to pay the additional amount in advance for these accommodations, in addition to a New York State surcharge.
