While my main focus is patient care, I enroll patients in clinical trials available through the Basking Ridge facility and can expedite patients’ entry into the clinical trials system if an appropriate trial is available only at Memorial Sloan-Kettering in New York.
Along with other doctors who work at the Basking Ridge campus, I attend weekly or biweekly meetings with colleagues on the gynecology and breast services at the Center’s main campus in Manhattan, and I work closely with our surgical colleagues in both services to help ensure a continuity of care.
After completing my medical training in Boston and Manhattan, I felt it was important to return to New Jersey where I grew up to ensure that patients who wish to stay near their homes for treatment receive care equal to that available at Memorial Sloan-Kettering in New York.
I am a co-author of a chapter on “Targeted Therapy in Breast Cancer” in the Molecular Targeting in Oncology (2008) and a member of the medical advisory council/board of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, North Jersey Affiliate. I am an invited lecturer for The American Cancer Society on new advances in breast cancer treatment.
