Tina Passalaris, MD

I am a board-certified medical oncologist and internist with a clinical focus on lung cancer and solid tumors. My experience with lung cancer began in 1991 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering, where I did research elucidating the mechanism of how cancer starts. Since then my experience has spanned laboratory research, academic medicine, community-based practice, and community service, in diverse settings. One can argue that this long and diverse academic and clinical experience has made me a skilled medical practitioner.

I am quite fortunate to be in the field of lung cancer at a time when insights provided by researchers have brought us to the point where targeted drugs are being used against cancer. This, combined with the world-renowned resources available at Memorial Sloan Kettering, allows me to offer the best care for patients at Memorial Sloan Kettering Basking Ridge. I work closely with my colleagues at Basking Ridge and at the main campus in Manhattan so that the clinical and research services we provide can be seamless, yet with the convenience of treating patients closer to their home.
