This presentation will introduce survivors to the benefits of acupuncture in cancer care and beyond. The basic theories of acupuncture will be explained from the perspectives of both traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and biomedicine. Particular emphasis will be placed on the value of acupuncture for the management of pain, fatigue, dry mouth, not flashes, anxiety, and insomnia, specifically in patients who are post-treatment. In addition, current relevant clinical research will be presented. Registration is required.
