Description

The diagnosis and management of common psychiatric syndromes and psychologic management of cancer patients will be taught to the student within the context of work with patients seen by the Psychiatry Service fellows and faculty. The student will be gain an understanding of liaison issues, problems of oncology staff in dealing with cancer patients, and the hospital as a social system.

Upon receipt of completed application, a telephone interview may be scheduled.

Notes:

  1. For any holidays listed, students must consult with the Medical Student Coordinator to determine whether they are released from their responsibilities.
  2. In the Clinical Medicine and Oncology Sub-Internship, students will be expected to take "short call" once or twice during the week in addition to one Saturday and/or Sunday during the four-week elective. No overnight call is taken.
