During the Cornell/Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center Neurosurgical Elective, students spend three weeks at Cornell and rotate for one-week to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Please refer to Cornell Web site for course description. Please note that only 4th/final year students are eligible to rotate to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
There is a dual application process for this elective. In addition to submitting an application to Cornell, US/Canadian students must complete the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center on-line application and submit all supplemental application documentation as instructed. International students must submit all application documentation applicable to international students. Students DO NOT need to send an additional application fee to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. All applications are reviewed by Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. There is a possibility that an applicant will not be accepted for the one-week rotation at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. In these rare cases, the student will be able to spend four weeks at Cornell. Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center will notifiy both the student and the Cornell Office of Academic Affairs of an acceptance decision.
