Human Tumor Immunology (M-136)

Description

Students will participate in the management of cancer patients and in clinical investigation concerned with biologic therapy of cancer. The program offers opportunity for clinical and laboratory experience. If the latter is to be included, a period of at least two months of participation and prior laboratory experience in immunology, cell biology, or biochemistry is required. One month is sufficient for participation in the clinical program.

Prerequisites Other than Third Year Rotations

Upon receipt of a completed application, a telephone interview with the student may be requested.

Notes:

  1. For any holidays listed, students must consult with the Medical Student Coordinator to determine whether they are released from their responsibilities.
  2. In the Clinical Medicine and Oncology Sub-Internship, students will be expected to take "short call" once or twice during the week in addition to one Saturday and/or Sunday during the four-week elective. No overnight call is taken.
