CLIMB: A Support Program for Children of Parents with Cancer

Support Group

Children’s Lives Include Moments of Bravery (CLIMB®) is a free emotional-support program for children (ages 6 to 12) who have a parent or caregiver with cancer. Groups are led by licensed clinical social workers at Memorial Sloan Kettering who are trained in the care of families coping with cancer. Art projects and group discussion are used to help children express their feelings and connect with other children who have a parent with cancer. A support group for parents will take place concurrently to help with the stress of being a parent with advanced cancer. Pizza will be provided
