Our curriculum embraces the fact that basic biomedical research has moved from an era when various disciplines could be compartmentalized to a time when the important questions will only be solved by those schooled in multidisciplinary approaches. Accordingly, the core of the curriculum has been developed as a single integrated course that will take students from genes and proteins to human pathophysiology.

In addition, a series of laboratory rotations in the first year allows students to begin to ally themselves with researchers at the leading edge of basic and clinical science, to develop an appreciation of ongoing research and potential thesis projects, and to learn the personality and dynamics of different labs.

Gerstner Sloan-Kettering students join a large community of energetic and creative young scientists, and are taught by a faculty with long experience in postgraduate education and a deep commitment to training and mentoring the next generation. Our students will be challenged and inspired to do their best possible work. We hope you will join us and take part in this exciting opportunity to be part of the future of biomedical research that bridges the gap between basic and clinical sciences.  We look forward to hearing from you.
