Each year, nursing excellence at Memorial Sloan Kettering is recognized by the Samuel and May Rudin Nursing Awards. The awards are supported by the Rudin Family Foundation. At the 2011 ceremony, held on the morning of May 11 in the Rockefeller Research Laboratories Auditorium, five distinguished Memorial Sloan Kettering nurses and one unit assistant were recognized for exemplary service in patient care, education, and research. The award winners were nominated by fellow nurses, administrators, physicians, and patients.
