The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has filed a complaint in federal court charging Dr. Clark Research Association (DCRA), Dr. Clark Zentrum (DCZ) and their owner, David P. Amrein with making numerous unsubstantiated efficacy claims for a variety of dietary supplements and devices that they sell. The company claims its products are capable of killing bacteria, viruses and parasites and provide effective treatment against chronic infections, cancer, AIDS, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's and asthma without providing reasonable basis for making such claims. The FTC is especially wary of the company's claims that its cancer regimens may render surgery and chemotherapy unnecessary. The FTC has been working in conjunction with the FDA and Health Canada to crack down on such unscrupulous marketing endeavors.
