Significance Cut-offs for Two-Stage Association Studies
(download)
May 3, 2004.
This is a collection of R functions to calculate the significance cut-offs to be used in Stages 1 and 2 of the two-stage design for population-based association studies. The file significance.r is an ASCII text file. The theoretical details are provided in "Optimal two-stage genotyping in population-based association studies" by Satagopan and Elston, Genetic Epidemiology 25: 149-157 (2003).

Order Statistic Formulation of the Power of Two-Stage Genotyping with Fixed Sample Size
(download)
May 3, 2004.
This is a tar-gzip file containing the R code and the corresponding FORTRAN code to calculate the power of a two-stage design under an order statistic formulation. The README file contains details on how to use the code. The theoretical details are provided in "Two-stage designs for gene-disease association studies with sample size constraints" by Satagopan, Venkatraman, Begg (to appear in Biometrics, 2004).
