Description:

Students will join members of the Division of Solid Tumor Oncology and follow adult patients with specific neoplastic diseases. Emphasis will be placed on pretreatment evaluation, paraneoplastic manifestations, choice of chemotherapeutic agents, Phase II and Phase III protocol studies, and post therapy evaluation procedures. Students will attend three to four outpatient sessions weekly and will be expected to assist in new patient and follow-up evaluations. Attendance at Medical Grand Rounds, Division of Solid Tumor Oncology Conferences, the Core Course in Adult Oncology, and the Combined Oncology Service Conferences is expected.
