Antibiotic Management Program

The Antibiotic Management Program (AMP) is a joint collaboration between the Infectious Disease and Pharmacy services at MSKCC. Dr. Seo works with 2 full-time pharmacists and a data manager to optimize antibiotic utilization on the inpatient services at Memorial Hospital. The AMP is a comprehensive program that provides rapid and rational approval of antibiotic requests as well as to provide advice on the choice and duration of subsequent antibiotic therapy once microbiologic results are available. Objectives include improving the quality of patient care and improving resource utilization.
