The Department of Pathology of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center offers the following fellowship programs to individuals who have completed their basic training in pathology and who are interested in a concentrated and intensive exposure to a particular aspect of human tumor pathology.

  • Oncologic Surgical Pathology Fellowship
    This is a one-year Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited program in tumor pathology during which fellows are actively engaged in the examination of anatomic pathology material submitted to the Department of Pathology under the supervision of the attending staff.
  • Molecular Diagnostics Fellowship
    This is a one-year fellowship program in Molecular Diagnostics. During this period, the fellow will receive training in the performance and interpretation of various molecular diagnostic tests in the Laboratory of Diagnostic Molecular Pathology of the Department of Pathology.
  • Breast Pathology Fellowship
    The Department of Pathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center offers a one-year Breast Pathology Fellowship. All fellows should have completed residency training in anatomic pathology and be certified (or eligible for certification) by the American Board of Pathology.
  • Cytopathology Fellowship
    A one-year Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited fellowship program in diagnostic cytopathology.
  • Dermatopathology Fellowship
    The Department of Pathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center offers a Dermatopathology Fellowship Training Program fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
  • Gastrointestinal Pathology Fellowship
    The Department of Pathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) and Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine of Weill Cornell Medical Center (WMC) offer a joint 1-year Gastrointestinal Pathology Fellowship Program.
  • Genitourinary Pathology Fellowship
    The Genitourinary (GU) Pathology Fellowship is a sub-specialty training program in the Department of Pathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). The Fellowship provides extensive exposure to all aspects of genitourinary tumor pathology, including in-depth experience with tumor specimens from the kidney, urinary bladder, prostate and testis.
  • Gynecologic Pathology Fellowship
    The Department of Pathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center offers a one year Gynecologic Pathology Fellowship Training Program. Applicants should have completed basic training in anatomic pathology and be certified (or eligible for certification) by the American Board of Pathology.
  • Hematopathology Fellowship
    The Department of Pathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center offers a Hematopathology Fellowship Training Program fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
  • Thoracic Pathology Fellowship
    The Department of Pathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer, offers a Thoracic Pathology Fellowship Training Program.
