NDR kinases have been shown to be essential members of pathways controlling aspects of the cell cycle and cell morphology in S. cerevisiae, S. pombe, D. melanogaster as well as other organisms. While the regulation of human NDR kinases has been studied, their functionality has not been well characterized. I am interested in exploring the role of these enzymes in human cell lines and identifying their links to Rho GTPases.
