The Pulmonary Fellowship Program at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center is an ACGME-accredited, independent, two-year pulmonary program designed to prepare physicians for careers in clinical pulmonary medicine, as well as to give physicians experience with clinical research and/or laboratory investigation.

The fellowship provides broad, general training in inpatient and outpatient pulmonary medicine, as well as exposure to the unique pulmonary diseases affecting the immunocompromised host.

Fellows will spend time on the inpatient and outpatient pulmonary services, participate in two half-day outpatient weekly sessions, gain experience in bronchoscopy and other pulmonary diagnostic procedures, participate in sleep medicine and lung transplantation rotations, and have opportunities to participate in ongoing research projects or initiate an independent project. An optional third year of Critical Care Medicine training is also available.

The program includes a wide variety of conferences that complement the clinical aspects. These include: Radiology, Pathology, Journal Club, Pulmonary, and multi-disciplinary fellows conferences, Pulmonary Grand Rounds, and Thoracic Tumor Board.
