The Department of Work/Life Initiatives focuses on programs and policies to help employees and trainees effectively manage their personal and work lives, especially when there is friction between the two. All postdoctoral researchers are welcome to take advantage of these services.
Memorial Sloan-Kettering's work/life initiatives include an information and referral service provided by LifeCare; backup child and elder/adult care provided by Bright Horizons; Memorial Sloan-Kettering's Children's Center on Roosevelt Island; lactation rooms; and the Memorial Sloan-Kettering NannyResource Web site. Memorial Sloan-Kettering also provides an Employee Assistance Program Consortium to help staff deal with personal or work-related problems that can sometimes interfere with work and life.
